Siam Paragon -Shopping Heavan
Siam Paragon
Everyone knows MBK is the place to go for fake goods, but
where else is there for people that like high class shopping? The answer is
Paragon, also in the Siam area.
The Enormous Paragon department store adjoins the Siam sky
train station, making it incredibly easy to get to and it also means that you
don't even have to brave the sweltering heat outside with the possibility of
travelling all the way from your hotel to Paragon in air conditioned
convenience! Others may prefer to take a wander outside
first thanks to the elevated 'sky walk', which enables you to walk to MBK, Siam
Square or Central World, all within 5 minutes. The sky walk also gives you
excellent elevated views of the infamous Bangkok traffic that is a sea of
colours thanks to the huge amount of colourful taxis and buses.
Paragon department store is 'the' place to go shopping for high society people. The amazingly designed building comprises of seven floors, with the top two floors housing a world class cinema complex and bowling alley. The basement is home to 'Under Water World', South-east Asia's biggest sea life centre and well worth the entry price.
The ground floor of Paragon is devoted totally to food. It contains restaurants and eateries
providing food from just about every corner
of the planet. Roughly a quarter of the floor is taken up by the 'Gourmet Market',
which is probably one of the finest supermarkets you will ever go in! In short,
the ground floor of Paragon is one of the best places to eat in Thailand. I'm
sure it will have your favourite food, whatever it may be!
The other floors of Paragon are a shopper's delight, but don't
expect any fake good here, only brand names. From Lamborghini and Ferrari
sports cars to Louis
Vuitton and Prada handbags. It's definitely not a
place where your
average tourist will spend a lot of money as most visitors to the country are
more enamoured with the fake goods rather than the overpriced designer brand
names!
Paragon is a must see for anyone visiting Bangkok. For window shopping, eating, having a relaxing stroll and people watching, it is definitely the best place in Bangkok and has to be seen to be believed.
